"summary_en": "In today’s society, more processes are powered by light. For designing novel photo-sensitive materials, detailed knowledge of their inner working is required. Computer simulations can provide this information but translating their outcome to chemical design principles is often challenging. In this proposal, a method for modeling photo-excited systems will be developed that can reach high, predictive accuracy, while being chemically interpretable. This method will be applied to study the photophysical properties of molecules that can potentially play a role in making solar cells more efficient.",
