"summary_nl": "Quantum adiabatic protocols are routines in which the Hamiltonian of a quantum \n\nsystem undergoes gradual deformation from a given initial to a given final \n\nvalue. Adiabaticity means that the routine is performed slowly enough to ensure \n\ncomplete control, in some well defined sense, over the system's quantum state.\n\nAdiabatic protocols offer a natural framework for coherent quantum state \n\nmanipulation, therefore the last several years have been marked by \n\nincreasing interest in their practical implementation. The existence of an \n\nadiabatically slow regime for every quantum protocol is guaranteed \n\nby the adiabatic theorem established by Born and Fock as early as 1928.\n\nHowever, the practically important question of what specific conditions are needed to \n\nensure adiabaticity of a given protocol remains a hard and \n\nlargely unresolved problem. In 2017 the Applicant co-authored a work, which pioneered \n\nan new approach to adiabaticity conditions based on a relationship \n\nbetween violation of adiabaticity and orthogonality catastrophe in extended \n\nquantum systems. The findings of this work open up a whole new avenue of \n\nresearch linking adiabaticity to simple low-energy characteristics of a\n\nquantum system. This proposal aims to address the outstanding methodological \n\nquestions arising from the new approach, as well as investigating the implications \n\nof the new adiabaticity conditions for the \n\nsystems of immediate practical \n\nimportance.",

"update_en": "This project explored two critical aspects of quantum systems. First, we investigated how quickly quantum algorithms can solve problems while preserving accuracy. We developed a framework to estimate the minimum time required for such processes, helping to reveal the limits of quantum speed for tasks like finding hidden structures in complex networks. Second, we tackled the challenge of controlling quantum systems at high speeds without introducing errors. By optimizing the system’s path through its settings, we showed how perfect accuracy could be achieved even in demanding conditions, paving the way for faster, more reliable quantum computing.",
